Just Starting Out - Your First Recruits

If you're into that funky Georama life and just starting out, you're in the grooviest place you could be.

It's time to start thinking about the kind of people you want living in your town, your georama. You'll notice that some names denoting NPCs in the single player campaign are yellow now. This color symbolizes the NPC's desire to see new things--namely your spectacular georama. You can recruit these yellow-named citizens to work in your georama! Great! Kind of.

Approaching a yellow-named citizen opens up a tiny sub menu with two options--talk and recruit. Recruit is the option you want here. It will bring up a new window with the profession and stats of that citizen. The top will be their job (Mage, Warrior, Chef, etc.). The next few lines reveal their skills (a symbol with a +#). The bottom is the requirements field. Some citizens will only move into well developed georamas, example: Required Georama Lvl. 7. And some citizens require you to give them a certain item. There is no mystery about it. The exact requirements are listed right there.

But you're just starting out, so I'll only list the level 1 and level 2 recruits. Before you browse the list, you need to decide who you want populating your town. The choice effects what items are sold in your general store, as well as some armor you can only receive by raising certain georama stats to 50.

Do you want to raise your town to help you get those special items? How do you want your town to look? Will you be playing with friends, maybe you can each specialize in something else? Recruiting miners will allow you to buy (rather than desperately search for in game) ores and minerals used commonly in upgrading and creating weapons and armor. Lumberjacks will lend you a constant supply of wood and bugs. Chefs and farmers have cute job items like food stalls and gardens.

The different job types are: farmer, chef, mage, warrior, lumberjack, miner.
Each job has three different stats that can be increased by citizens of that job. Certain job items you can make in the papitaur workshop also increase these stats. You can check the overall stats of your georama by hitting the SQUARE button on your PS3 remote while you are in the georama editing screen! Check it out!

It is recommended that you specialize in one job or maybe two, for efficiency. But it's up to you!

Remember! You can only have 20 citizens recruited at a time! Even if they aren't living in a house in your georama, they still count as citizens living in your town. That means you can't just recruit every available person you see. 20 people is the max capacity.

Only citizens assigned to a house will contribute their stats to your georama!

Here's the run down of all level 1 and 2 citizens and where they are located so you can recruit them to start up your town!
